Poppy King


Poppy trained at Arts Educational School in Chiswick, London, where she gained a BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre. Alongside her subsequent performing career, she gained a postgraduate qualification in vocal pedagogy in 2018, researching the education of vocal health in Drama school, alongside teaching at various drama schools and performing arts academies, including the highly acclaimed Spirit Young Performers Company as a choreographer and director. She also runs a thriving private practice as a 1-2-1 vocal coach, teaching students all over the world online and locally. She also teaches Voice and Singing at PETROC College, and musically directed Kinky Boots at the Queens Theatre, Barnstaple in 2021. 

Poppy views vocal, mental, and physical wellbeing as a priority for young performers in training and this mindset is at the forefront of VAMP Training! From growing up in North Devon, and atending Petroc College, Poppy is dedicated to nurturing and supporting local talent!

Poppy is Extended DBS checked, Level 2 safeguarding trained, and a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
